Senator John ‘Iron’ McCain is behoved by the liberal appeasement mongers as a war hawk. This is completely untrue. Iron McCain is an Eagle.

During the Iraq war, his wisdom saw that we needed a surge to reverse the gains of Al-Qaeda and stabilize the country to allow the democratic government time. Time is something democracies always need, they do not turn on a dime like a dictatorship. Deals need to be made between sometimes diametrically opposed factions.

When President Bush looked into the eyes of then President, now Prime Minister Putin, he saw a soul he could trust. Iron McCain saw the ghost of the Soviet Union’s KGB. He knew a KGB agent as a leader of a country like Russia would mean the country would be run like the KGB. Unexplained deaths of press reporters critical of the government. Assassinations of people outside of Russia and attempted assassinations of leaders of countries like Ukraine’s President Viktor Yushchenko. Jailing of Russian business leaders that have companies coveted by the Russian government for nationalization. Covert operations in neighboring countries to destabilize any democratically inclined movements or governments.

Senator John McCain was not fooled by Prime Minister Putin. He was not worn down by Al-Qaeda. In the future the world will see as yet unknown dangers. In a dangerous world we need an Eagle.

The Employee Free Choice Act is a democratic backed bill that stops secret ballots in voting for Unions in the workplace. If the majority of the employees at the company are members of the Union (card check), any vote to Unionize the company is not allowed by secret ballot. All votes are public, allowing for intimidation of anyone who doesn’t vote for Unionization. The Secretary Treasurer of the Service Employees International Union estimates that if this became law, their membership would grow from 100,000 to 1 million. Other Unions would probably see a similar 10 fold increase in membership, and membership fees.

From the former Senator from South Dakota, John McGovern, “We cannot be a party that strips workers of the right to a secret ballot election. We are the party that always defended the rights of the working class. To fail to ensure the right to vote free of intimidation and coercion from all sides would be a betrayal of what we have always championed.” McGovern sees the traitorous precedents of a non secret ballot election for all secret ballots. That his party is working towards a method that would eliminate secret balloting not just in labor unionizing, but in all elections with the Democratic party as the only party to vote for.

Unions could mobilize a force of Union card carriers who are unemployed or are willing to to advance the interests of the union to target any company for Union takeover. Simply monitoring a non union company for employee openings and doing their best to get a union card carrying person to fill the openings in the company will soon allow for a non secret balloting to unionize the company.

Russia deliberately fomented a secessionist movement in South Ossetia, Georgia, financing and training a paramilitary group. When the Russian backed paramilitary forces shelled areas in Ossetia, the Georgian President had to send in Georgian military to try to protect the citizens of Ossetia from the paramilitary guns. Prime Minister Putin’s plan, a variant of the KGB inspired ploys of the Cold War against Chechoslovokia and Afghanistan was working as he wanted. He used this military movement by Georgian forces as an excuse to send in Russian troops to ‘protect’ the Russian citizens living in Ossetia. The ultimate goal, to make Georgia once again a satellite of Russia and to gain control of the trans Georgian oil and natural gas pipelines.

Russia has gained vast wealth from its Petroleum since the breakup of the Soviet Union. Realizing that this wealth was primarily important in Russia’s rise to Hegemonic power, plans to get 100% control of any oil and transporting infrastructure it could where implemented. Planting flags under the Arctic to claim any oil there was part of this plan. Georgian control of a pipeline to transfer the Russian oil to Europe was unacceptable to Russian plans. After all, Russia would have to pay for the use of the pipeline and that would mean a decline in their revenues. This situation is more important than the Iraq invasion of Kuwait, a similar motivated invasion.

If the Russian incursion into Georgia stands and they achieve the regime change of the Democratic government of Georgia to a Russian puppet government it will send a dreadful chilling signal throughout the world to dictatorialy inclined governments. The Democracies of the World are weak, ineffectual and impotent, do as you please. Every effort to send American personnel and aid to Georgia must be made.

More official non-Georgian personnel in Georgia to help the Georgians will cause Russia to pause in any military advances in Georgia. The death of any non-Georgian in an assault could cause military strikes against Russian forces and escalate the war beyond the bounds of Georgia. How much Russia desires the Georgian pipeline will determine if they will risk a shooting war with America over it. This is more important than the Berlin airlift, because more than just Russia needs an unequivocal message of resolve.

If Georgia falls to Russia, China’s military buildup will be used to capture Taiwan, Iran will back and train religious insurgencies all over the Middle East as they do Hezbollah now with an eye towards an eventual world Islamic Caliphate. A spreading Russian Hegemony, Chineese Hegemony, Islamic Caliphate, these are just some of the threats and eventualities the democracies of the world face if Georgia falls.

He proposes we withdraw 70 million barrels of oil. The SPR contains 707.2 million barrels of oil. The U.S. uses 20,730,000 barrels per day. The oil withdrawal would be about 3 and a half days of oil for America. This would lower the price of gas within 2 weeks according to Junior Senator Obama, but for how long?

Once this 3 and a half days worth of oil was used up, we would be back to buying oil on the open market. Prices would quickly recover from any blip in price reduction, since we aren’t adding any long term new supply. Only opening oil exploration and drilling in new areas would do that.

This would be like taking the gas out of the gas can for your lawnmower and putting it in your car gas tank one day. You pay less for your total gas bill that week, but the next week, you have to fill up your car again AND fill up the gas tank to use for your lawnmower at full price.

This is not what the Strategic Petroleum Reserve is for.

When President Bush took office, the Reserve was at around 550 million barrels. After 9-11 it was increased over several years to over 700 million barrels. This was because of fears terrorists would make attempts to disrupt oil flow to cripple the U.S. economy.

Since then, Iran has emerged as a full time threat to oil traveling through the Strait of Hormuz and the Gulf of Oman. If Iran starts attacking shipping in the Gulf, supplies of oil would be drastically reduced until Armed Forces could eradicate any threat Iran can pose to shipping. This could take many months or longer, depending on how soon Armed Forces could locate and destroy any missile and naval forces of Iran. If Israel is forced to use military strikes against Iranian nuclear facilities, one sure response will be Iranian disruption of the Strait of Hormuz and the Gulf of Oman.

This scenario is all the more likely as Iran stalls on talks to cease Uranium enrichment and gets closer to having the means to assemble a nuclear bomb or a dirty bomb. The prospect of this creates the dire threat of death to Israel. If Israeli intelligence indiacates Iran is close to acheiving this goal, Israel will be forced to act. Even if they do not have the weaponry to successfully eradicate the facilities, many of which are underground or burrowed into mountains, they will need to do something to destroy what they can and slow down Iranian nuclear progress.

Using the reserve to try to influence price would net less benefits than the gas tax holiday that had been previously proposed for the summer of 2008 that Junior Senator Obama decried as a political stunt. The decrease in price would be far less, and the decrease would last only a few short weeks. The detriment of this would be a crippling of the U.S. economy should Iran feel the need to attack shipping in the Gulf of Oman. Making this proposal not even worthy of being called a political stunt, maybe a political LSD trip.

What’s more important? What your neighbors think of you, or putting food on your child’s dinner plate?

Prince Kumbaya.. I mean Junior Senator Barack Obama is “improving America’s standing in the world.” so that everyone will smile at him and sing “Kumbaya”. Visiting Europe, skipping the visit to the wounded sons and daughters of America, to give speeches expounding his vision of a world with no walls between it’s neighbors.

Iron McCain is pushing for offshore oil drilling so folks can afford to drive to work and bring food home to their family. He wants to keep taxes on small businesses as low as possible, so they can employ as many people as possible.

Is a “symbol of America” with a honeyed tongue and a princely look going to bring food to the table?

Provide for more domestic oil drilling, increase the jobs in oil exploration, oil drilling, oil refining, transportation of oil as well as jobs in oil byproduct industries (plastics, pharmaceuticals, fertilizers, among others).

$700 billion dollars a year going to overseas economies, how many jobs will that buy in our domestic economy? How much of an economic stimulus for America will that be?

Now that Congress has retired for a 5 week recess without voting on any extended off shore oil exploration and drilling bill, it is safe for Junior Senator Barack Obama to advocate it. Nancy Pelosi abused her powers and kept any oil exploration bill from going up for a vote to shield the Prince of the Democrats from having to place a no vote against something that 70% of Americans want.

If a vote had come to the floor, Junior Senator Barack Obama would have had to vote yes, as an opportunistic politician wanting to win the Presidential election. Voting yes now though, after so much effort to cow tow to the leftists and maintain a ban, would cost a huge amount of political capitol with his base but gain him very little for the November elections.

The elections are to far away, and the American voters will forget he voted to allow the drilling for the most part by then, not gaining enough votes from moderates to offset the loss from the far left. But not his base, they will remember the betrayal and stay home.

When Congress returns in 5 weeks, a vote on any extended oil exploration will be much closer to the November elctions. Now, he proposes to support a plan proposed for an off shore oil exploration bill put together by some members of congress.

The hope being that either the bill will be so restrictive, or have provisions for certain non oil energy timetables to be met to release sections for off shore oil drilling, that the far left won’t mind if he votes for it much. 

Ideally, the bill won’t be ready for a vote until after the election, and he won’t have to vote for it and harm his far left voter base. If it is ready, he can vote for it, and look like a hero to the far left, and to the majority of the public who will think it will actually allow extra domestic oil supply to help reduce gas and home heating prices.

Junior Senator Barack Obama has suggested an economic stimulus package consisting of a $500 check for single people and a $1,000 payment for couples as well as a funding of alternative energy projects as well as:

“$50 billion in immediate measures to turn our economy around and help prevent more than 1 million Americans from losing their jobs: $25 billion in a State Growth Fund to prevent state and local cuts in health, education and housing assistance or counterproductive increases in property taxes, tolls or fees. The fund will also ensure sufficient funding for home heating and weatherization assistance as we move into the fall and winter months.• $25 billion in a Jobs and Growth Fund to replenish the highway trust fund; prevent cutbacks in road and bridge maintenance and fund new, fast-tracked projects to repair schools – all to save more than 1 million jobs in danger of being cut.”

To fund this package, he suggests a windfall tax on Oil companies over the next 5 years. The stimulus checks would

“Offset the entire increase in gas prices for a working family over the next four months”. 

Five years of extra taxes on oil companies, passed onto consumers with a higher energy prices. So some people get $500 each now, and alternative energy research gets money, and consumers buying gas to get to work, or oil to heat their home for 4 months. then pay and pay for 5 years to pay it back to the Oil Companies. This extra cost on energy for everyone along with the doubling of taxes on invested capitol and raising the top tax bracket to 60% will drive the slow economy we have into a Depression, a real Depression, not just a Recession.

Windfall taxes and taxing the rich is like saying we aren’t going to get off the train, just going to stop adding coal to the engine. When extra taxes on small business owners and investment capitol causes companies to lay off workers, where will they get the money to pay for the extra cost of gas to cover the $1000 stimulus. Rob from Peter and make Peter replace the money next year. $500 for each tax payer, $1000 for couples. Paid back over 5 years with 5% interest it would add about 17 cents per gallon of gas. So, we get $500 dollars now and pay an additional 17 cents per gallon of gas for the next five years? About 20 gallons a week, hmmm $176.80 per year for five years for a total payback of about $884.00. DEAL!

Along with these extra costs on energy. policys such as “cap and trade” carbon emissions are estimated to raise energy costs by 60% to 144%. If these policies where in effect today, gas would cost about $6.40 to $9.76 per gallon.

How is this any type of solution? Robbing from Peter (oil companies) today only to pay Peter almost twice as much over the next five years. And still the cost of energy will go up from supply demand pressures and now an added pressure from a new government tax.

Junior Senator Barack Obama made some speeches in Missouri Wednesday. in three of those speeches he said various versions of, “You know, ‘he’s not patriotic enough, he’s got a funny name. You know, he doesn’t look like all those other presidents on those dollar bills, you know, he’s risky.”

A month earlier, he had a similar message. Saying in Jacksonville, Fla., ”They’re going to try to make you afraid of me. He’s young and inexperienced and he’s got a funny name. And did I mention he’s black?’

In Berlin, he said “I don’t look like the Americans who’ve previously spoken in this great city.”

Why would he say this? What paranoid delusions does he suffer from?

O yea, he went to the Trinity United Church of Christ.

The race hating speeches of Pastor Wright have sunk in well for Junior Senator Obama about “typical white people”, even though he wasn’t listening. He is blaming racism already for his detractors, saying that because he doesn’t look like the faces on the dollar bills of America, people will say to be afraid of him. Already victimizing himself as Rev. Wright taught. That it isn’t because of your own faults that you are being criticized, it’s because the critics are racist.

When an African American can not get a job, it isn’t because they didn’t go to school. It is because the person hiring is racist. When Junior Senator Obama doesn’t get your vote, it’s not because he isn’t qualified, its because he doesn’t look like the guy on the dollar bill. He is preemptively making anyone that doesn’t vote for him feel guilty, even if they have good and valid reasons to not vote for him.

When you don’t vote for him because he was wrong about the Iraq troop surge and wanted to surrender without a fight, it’s because he is not patriotic enough.

When you don’t vote for him because he would rather give a speech to 200,000 Europeans instead of visiting your wounded sons, daughters, husbands, wives, fathers and mothers, it’s because he has a funny name.

When you don’t vote for him because he won’t allow expanded domestic exploration and drilling for oil so you can afford to buy gas AND food instead of just gas, it’s because he doesn’t look like the guy on the dollar bill.

When you don’t vote for him because he wants to appease democracy’s sworn enemies.

When you don’t vote for him because he is always ‘present’ for a vote but never for or against.

When you don’t vote for him because he went overseas and derided America for its mistakes instead of extolling the great virtues of American democracy and capitalism.

When you don’t vote for him because he voted for a complete sale of hand gun sales, and you are bitter and cling to your guns.

When you don’t vote for him because he is a nincompoop who thinks we have 57 states, not 50.

The CIA and NSA discover evidence Iran has developed nuclear weapons and dirty bomb technology. Iran plans to supply nuclear bombs to terrorist groups who want to transport them to America and Israel in suicide bombing attacks. The President calls an emergency meeting of the best cabinet his party was able to provide to plan a course of immediate action to thwart this threat to American lives.

Secretary of the Interior says “I vote we should double the guards on all National Parks in Northeast Alaska so the caribou aren’t harmed.”

Secretary of Education says ” I vote we should provide free education to the madrases educated Muslim terrorists so they can learn the errors of their ways.”

Secretary of Defense says “I vote we withdraw all troops from anywhere near Iran so they don’t feel threatened.”

Secretary of Commerce says “I vote we sanction the Iranian government and stop selling them American made goods so our citizens aren’t burdened with money from their citizens.”

Secretary of Homeland Security says “I vote we place the names of the people in the Iranian government on the ‘do not fly’ list.”

Secretary of State says “I vote we open an ‘office of communications’ in Iran and talk to them so they will understand us and our common grounds.”

President Obama says “I have carefully considered the matter and have drawn upon my omnipotent judgement abilities and I vote ‘Present’.”

Junior Senator Barack Obama has always advocated a ‘no preconditions before talking’ stance in his ideas on foreign policy. This is an incorrect path in dealing with an implacable enemy, and one of several foreign policy mistakes he has advocated.

He oppposed the Iraq troop surge, announcing it would not quell violence nor allow the Iraq government time to build it’s strength and mature. It has done a great deal towards both but he won’t admit to it. He does however advocate a surge in Afghanistan to help quell the violence there. Although if he thinks it didn’t work in Iraq I can’t figure out how he thinks it will work in Afghanistan.

He supports raising taxes to grow the economy. History has shown that lowering taxes stimulates the economy and increases tax revenues paid, not raising taxes. Lower taxes increases employment as companies have more cash to hire with. More emplyees at companies means more hands to gow and build the company and more people employed to pay taxes. Two employees paying 20% is better than one employee paying 30%.

He has made several bad judgement decisions, his track record for making correct decisions is …ummm zero!

He advocated talking to Iran about it’s nuclear program without any previous concessions from Iran. President Bush sent an observer to the talks between the E.U. and Iran. Not to talk or deal, but seen by Iran as a move by the U.S. towards talking. What did this step towards Junior Senator Obama’s policy idea get? Two days later, Iran announces it refuses to cooperate with the IEAE. A week later, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad announces that Iran has gone from 3000 uranium-enriching centrifuges to 6000.

What would be the result of actualy ‘talking’ to Iran without preconditions? Perhaps a nuclear bombing of Israel 2 days later.

The Junior Senator Barack Obama spoke to 200,000 Europeans in a speech in Germany. Prince Obama apologized to Europe about his country. “We’ve made a lot of mistakes, and there are times when our actions around the world have not lived up to our best intentions.” 

The defeat of fascists Nazis. Freeing most of western Europe from an evil dictatorship and a genocidal holocaust.

The defeat of communist Soviets. Standing strong against the Soviets, even to the brink of nuclear war, freeing the people of the soviet block and the soviets from themselves.

The Growth of prosperity and freedom. Economic booms for every country that followed the example of America. Freedom from suppression for many people all over the world.

So sorry. 

But Prince Kumbaya’s father didn’t think America was a country of mistakes to stay away from. He wanted to come to America so bad, “he wrote letter after letter to universities all across America until somebody, somewhere answered his prayer for a better life.” This is the mistake we have made. We have a country everyone wants to break into, none want to break out of.

Democratic refusal to allow more domestic territorial oil drilling, and the building of more oil refineries for over 30 years, will cause gasoline prices to continue to climb. As shown by President Bush’s rescinding the executive branch’s ban on off shore exploration and drilling and the subsequent oil price drop from $147 a barrel to under $125, gas from $4.11 / gallon to $3.98 / gallon. Even the prospect of possible domestic oil drilling has an effect on oil prices. Imagine what actual exploration and drilling would have on the price! But alas, this is not to be. The Democratically controlled congress refuses to allow any extension of territory for exploration.

It’s a democratic strategy to make the economy as bad as possible while a republican is president, in the hopes the dissatisfaction with a poor economy will be reflected on the president and his party. This will help them win the election. It worked in the past with “It’s the economy, stupid!”. So they are doing everything they can to prolong the economic slowdown, and even hyping it as worse than it is by calling a slow economy a ‘recession’. Phil Gramm had it wrong, Americans aren’t whining about a mental recession, the democratic party leadership is fooling them into thinking things are worse than they are. And legislatively controlling factors in the economy to exacerbate the effect. This is a dangerous game. They may think they can hold energy prices high until after the election, hoping the slow economy will make people unhappy with the republican party. But they are playing with the long-term economic strength of America, and the health and welfare of it’s citizens in an attempt to gain control of the government.

ANWR is a National Treasure. Tourism to the area is higher than the Grand Canyon. Photographers and Artists flock there in droves to capture the dull and boring expanse of the tundra in pictures and paintings. A National Treasure democrats refuse to allow oil exploration and drilling in. Like the outer continental shelf, so far offshore you can’t see an oil rig from shore, democratic excuses for not drilling is that they would be disturbed irreparably by it.

$5 a gallon gas is a cheap price to pay to preserve the view for fish and caribou!

Senator John McCain has no worshippers or followers, but has many supporters. He went to the Annapolis Naval Academy. Served 22 years in the U.S. Navy. Survived 6 years in a North Vietnam war prison ( Hanoi Hilton ). Served 25 years as a representative of the people in Washington D.C.. Still going strong and never quitting, full of character.

Real Change in Washington politics is Junior Senator Barack Obama’s mantra. Change to what you ask? Well, he hasn’t said. He learned politics in Chicago, the most politically corrupt city in America. There, you learn things still taught from the prohibition era mobsters. “If they pull a knife, you pull a gun. If he sends one of yours to the hospital, you send one of his to the morgue.”

This is what Senator Obama has learned, as he told folks in a Philadelphia fund raiser. “If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun.”
